“Thank you for your patience” Tool captioned Monday, as the band revealed the name of their upcoming album.

Fear Inoculum arrives on August 30. The LP is the band’s fifth studio album and their first in 13 years.

Fear Inoculum seems to have first materialized in March of 2018, with reports of the band entering the studio. After further comments and speculation over recording, Tool debuted two songs from the album in May of 2019 at the Welcome To Rockville Festival, surprising fans with “Descending” and “Invincible.”

Frontman Maynard James Keenan appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Monday, briefly discussing the new title reveal as he posted the news to Instagram. “A lot of weight lifted off my chest. The four of us are a lot of f***ing work” explained Keenan. “Everything is a f***ing committee meeting, and it always gets shut down.”

Fear Inoculum is due out on August 30th, with more details coming soon.
